Halloween half term baking
October half term…the first school holiday since we were all enjoying the late summer sun. While my little cook loves getting outside in the cold and damp autumn weather, I enjoy finding activities for us to do together in the warm and cosy kitchen.
For me, the comforting smell of ginger symbolises the start of autumn. Most children love gingerbread, which is so easy to make and can be cut and decorated in any shape and size – provide a selection of cookie cutters and dried fruit, and let their imaginations run wild. Our Gingerbread Biscuit recipe is free from refined sugar and absolutely delicious!
For a change from traditional gingerbread biscuits try our Gingerbread Muffins which are light and fluffy, perfect with a cup of tea! Ginger has the added benefit of aiding nutrition and soothing sore tummies.
