In this month’s kit…

Spooky red velvet cakes

This kit is all about the beet! Use beetroot to make bloody red velvet cakes – a perfect way to have fun over the Halloween half term. The kit will also include a recipe for beetroot and black bean burgers, purple play dough, a summary of the nutritional benefits of beetroot, as well as this month’s themed sticker for little cooks to collect in their annual record books!

Here are the additional ingredients you’ll need to make the red velvet cakes:

  • 250g beetroot (you can buy it pre-cooked or raw and cook it yourself)
  • 80g butter (or coconut oil if you prefer no dairy)
  • 80g honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can of coconut milk (to be kept in the fridge)

Allergens: Egg, nuts (almond flour), dairy (optional)
