Delicious burgers with lots of extra nutrition packed it!

Ingredients

  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 medium courgette
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 small apple
  • 1/4 cup passata
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil for frying

Equipment

  • Chopping board and knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Frying pan
  • Grater

Directions

1 Finely chop the onion and grate the courgette, carrot and apple
2 Place in a mixing bowl with the minced beef, passata, smoked paprika, balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt and pepper and mix thoroughly
3 Shape into burger patties and pop in the fridge for 5 mins
4 Heat a glug of olive oil in a frying pan ready for cooking
5 Fry the burgers for about 5-7 minutes on each side (until browned) then leave to cool a little
6 Serve in burger buns or pitta bread with your favourite toppings....our faves are lettuce, sliced tomato and avocado!
