Raspberry and yogurt frozen treats!

This is so simple but so brilliant! It’s a fab recipe to make with kids to practice their fine motor skills as well as a delicious little frozen snack to keep them cool in the Summer!

Ingredients

  • Punnet of raspberries
  • Natural yogurt (use dairy free if preferred)

Equipment

  • Container/plate to pop in the freezer
  • Clean Calpol syringe (or piping bag)

Allergens

Dairy (optional)

Directions

1 Make sure your Calpol syringe is clean and then fill it up with yogurt (you can use a piping bag if you don't have a Calpol syringe
2 Fill each raspberry with yogurt and carefully place them in a container or on a plate
3 Pop in the freezer for an hour to set and then enjoy!

Fun fact! Did you know that raspberries are actually not individual berries, but they are a cluster of many tiny fruits? Each raspberry contains about 100 tiny fruits, called drupelets. Each of these drupelets are filled with one seed!

  1. I did a little roadtest with this recipe before Teddy my grandson( 4) came to stay . I found that using the thinner drinking yogurt in a bottle was easier for him to manage and we propped the little fruits up all round the inside if a bowl for freezing. Of course he loved the finished result and now his little brother age 8 months (and teething) is very grateful for Ted’s skills. Lovely thing to do !

So glad to hear that Ted enjoyed making these, and this his little brother was able to enjoy them too 😊. Thanks so much for sharing this with you x
