Homemade jam

Make your own jam with just 3 ingredients!

A delicious nutritious jam recipe that can be used in porridge, slathered on buttery toast, on pancakes, with yogurt….however you prefer to eat it!

Ingredients

1 punnet of berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries – or a mix of them all!)

30g honey

2 tablespoons of chia seeds

Equipment

Saucepan

Wooden spoon

Jar to store it in

Allergens

None

Directions

1 Pop everything into a saucepan and mix together on a low heat (if you are using strawberries, cut these into smaller pieces first)
2 Use your wooden spoon to break down any big berries
3 After 5-10 minutes take it off the heat and then pour it into a glass container to set
4 Once cooled, store it in the fridge - it will keep for at least a week and more likely 2!

Fun fact! When the jam cools it will set into a gel like consistency thanks to the magic of omega 3 rich chia seeds!
