A hot chocolate recipe the whole family can enjoy! This recipe makes 2-3 servings
Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut milk from a can (200ml)
- 1 cup almond or oat milk (225ml) – or 2 cups if you prefer no coconut milk
- 20g honey or maple syrup
- 15g raw cacao powder (or normal cocoa powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Equipment
- Measuring scales
- Saucepan
- Whisk
- Teaspoon

Directions

Pop all the ingredients in a saucepan on a medium heat

Whisk together to remove all clumps of chocolate

Serve once hot (but not boiling)
Fun fact! Coconut milk contains lauric acid that is known for its antiseptic properties. It assists the body in fighting infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

This is incredible!! I made it with cows milk as we didn’t need it to be dairy free. It tastes just like Cadbury’s hot choc, but with only 1/3 of the sugar. May try with less honey next time. Big thumbs up!
